　 Beijing Foreign Studies University is a university directly under the Ministry of Education, an institute of higher learning with the longest history, largest scale and covering most languages among foreign studies universities of China, and one of the first authorized units to grant master and doctor degrees, as well as one of the first universities listed in the national 211 Project. Up to now, BFSU has formed the academic structure focused on literature and linguistics with economics, trade and diplomacy as the subsidiaries. Now it has 2 national key disciplines, one post-doctoral research center, 9 disciplines entitled to grant doctor degrees, and 13 disciplines entitled to grant master degrees, 6 disciplines entitled to grant on-the-job master degrees, and 42 undergraduate programs. It is capable of fostering all kinds of foreign languages talents from bachelors, masters, doctors to post doctorate and UN interpreters.

      ---Teachers said: “To acquaint ourselves with NewClass carefully, we will find its more advantageous aspect. With this equipment in class, teachers can easily demonstrate multiple external media and thus enrich class contents; what’s more, the functions of AOD, VOD and text on demand of Spontaneous Learning greatly arouse students’ learning interest, which stimulates them to study actively during the break or after classes.”

      In 2003, BFSU chose the NewClass DL700B Digital Language Lab System of Colink from a number of famous domestic manufacturers. Since the installation and application, the system has been steady and in sound performance. For its simple and direct operation as well as new and unique functions, teachers compete to give lessons in the NewClass language lab. And students also show great interest in NewClass’s VOD function.

      In Nov. 2003, Prof. He Qixin and heads of education technology center and equipment department of BFSU visited the NewClass digital language lab. They inquired about the application of the equipment and responses from all aspects in detail. After experiencing for themselves, they were full of praise and got surprised as well as delighted at the fact that domestic manufacturers were capable of designing and producing such an excellent product. 
      High evaluation of NewClass also came from teachers. They said: “It has prevented lots of unnecessary troubles both for classroom teaching and regular maintenance.” “NewClass is easy and flexible to operate. This reflects its understandable, easy-to-learn and highly humanized operational functions and ensures the success of lessons.
