NewClass-Application

The Application Software Training Center of the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Tsinghua University is a base dedicated to research and promotion of global renowned software and network technologies. The training center takes it as its responsibility to foster senior technological talents in software development, network management and application of E-commerce. Inheriting Tsinghua University’s motto of “Self-discipline and Social Commitment”, it has widely cooperated with Microsoft, Oracle, Hp, Sun and other famous companies and brought up a lot of hi-tech talents for China.

The multimedia network lab comprises 64 DELL computers and the wholly hardware-supported NewClass multimedia network teaching system. It provides students with a superior hardware learning environment.

During the selection of multimedia teaching network, the department leaders and teachers took it into consideration that the teaching required various operation systems, and that the teaching of large and complex application software like AutoCAD and 3Dmax and a large number of videos specially required that the network be capable of RT broadcasting of teaching pictures and take no system resources of the host computer. The wholly hardware-supported NewClass multimedia teaching network suits the special requirements of software training of the center perfectly, because it could broadcast any complex dynamic pictures full-screen and fluently without any delay, reproduce the pictures perfectly and claim no resources of the host computer.

Therefore, after evaluation and trial of different like products, teachers of the Department of Computer Science and Technology put a premium on NewClass, and finally adopted the NewClass product as the teaching platform for multimedia application software of this training center.
